Barnsley’s Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government on 23 December 2016 for examination by an independent Inspector.
The examination was conducted for a period of just under two years and is now closed.
Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council are in receipt of the Inspector’s Report detailing the modifications necessary for the Local Plan to be found sound and in line with national policy.
A Full Council meeting to consider adoption of the Local Plan is scheduled for 3 January 2019. Find out more about the Full Council meeting here.
