A Parliamentary election will be held on Thursday 8 June.
If you are not already registered to vote, you must do so by 22 May to be able to vote at this election. You can do this by going to www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. To find out if you are registered to vote in Barnsley, call the Elections Helpline on (01226) 773070.
The deadline for new postal vote applications and for changes to existing postal and proxy voting arrangements will be at 5.00pm on the 23 May.
The deadline for new proxy vote applications will be at 5.00pm on 31 May.
Poll cards are due to be issued on 5 May, and postal vote ballot papers and statements will be sent out from 22 May.
