The Mayor of Barnsley’s charities have received a welcome boost of £2,193 following a cheque presentation from Barnsley town centre club Escapade.
The money was raised thanks to sales of tickets for Barnsley Council’s Cracking Christmas Party, which took place on Friday 16 December.
Some 731 staff bought tickets for the event, which saw a special appearance from The Risk.
The charities benefiting from the funds are Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, Barnsley Arthritis Care and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
