Article: Residential services - garden maintenance Article Body Neighbourhood Services deal with public garden maintenance. Many estates such as those planned for the elderly or disabled have been planned on the 'open plan' principle, whereby the front and sometimes the rear gardens are open grassed areas. These are maintained by the council in partnership with Berneslai Homes. For other council-owned properties, gardens are maintained by the tenants. Any tenants who for some reason are unable to maintain their gardens should contact Berneslai Homes for advice. For privately-owned properties Neighbourhood Services does not offer a service for grass cutting and garden maintenance.
