Article: Insurance claims Article Body An insurance claim can be submitted to the council if you have suffered personal injury or if your property has been damaged as a result of the council being negligent. When making a claim it is necessary for you to demonstrate beyond reasonable doubt how and why the council has been at fault in law. There is no automatic entitlement to compensation. All claims received by the council will be investigated appropriately and even though an incident my have occurred it does not necessarily mean that the council will be held to blame.
