Acceptable behaviour

This site is open to members of the general public. Users should refrain from making any comments that could be viewed as malicious as this could result in action being taken against the user.

Submissions containing such comments will be removed from the site.

Limitations

The service continues to grow; at the present time it only contains key planning application details and some documents/plans.

Any submitted planning applications that are missing from Planning Explorer are applications that are invalid. This could be applications where we're waiting for more details/documents. These applications will appear on a future list when the application is registered.

  • Applications where the decision is delegated to the Assistant Director are marked with 'D'.
  • Applications which need to be referred to the council's Planning Regulatory Board are marked with 'C'.

Note, it's possible that some of the applications marked as delegated may be referred to the Planning Regulatory Board for decision.

Under normal circumstances, the new planning application information will be available to view within five working days of receipt of a valid application.

No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in the planning details obtained from Planning Explorer. The details contained within Planning Explorer does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision. As such, any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.
