Barnsley Homeless Alliance

About us

Barnsley Homeless Alliance is made up from a range of local organisations and charity members who work together to help people in crisis.

Working together, we aim to give those who are homeless or begging on the street the support they need to make long-term positive changes to their lives.

Donate food or clothing

Donations we receive are used to support the services we provide. This positively impacts the lives of the homeless in Barnsley.

You can donate food, clothing and other items. We'll pass these on to organisations that help those in need. You can drop these off on the second floor in Wellington House, Wellington Street, Barnsley, S70 1WA.

We're currently in need of the following items:

  • food: cereal and cereal bars, packet soups, biscuits, crisps, bottled water, long-life fruit juice, long-life milk, sugar, tea, coffee, tinned foods (preferably ring-pull opening)
  • toiletries: face wipes, deodorant, shower gel, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste, hair brushes, sanitary products
  • clothing: hats, scarves, gloves, coats and new underwear
  • sleeping bags

There are also lots of other ways to help if you'd like to get involved and help Barnsley's homeless.
