Healthy Holidays supports families who need help to access food and activities to keep their children healthy during the school holidays. In Barnsley the scheme is funded by the Department for Education.
Our Healthy Holidays clubs provide children with a delicious and nutritious meal, as well as a range fun activities. The clubs run during the Easter, summer and Christmas school holidays.
Eligibility
Children who receive benefit-related (means-tested) free school meals can get a free place at the clubs.
If your child's eligible for free school meals, signing up for these even if your child doesn't have the meal and takes a packed lunch instead, still brings lots of other benefits - including access to the Healthy Holidays programme. If your child is in reception class, year 1 or year 2 and receives a school meal automatically, you should still register for free school meals if you're eligible.
Our Easter Healthy Holidays clubs
Our next Healthy Holidays clubs will happen during the Easter holidays, from Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April 2026. We’ll have a fantastic selection of clubs and activities for children to enjoy, including great food and plenty of holiday fun.
We’re busy finalising all the details, so please keep checking back here to discover what’s on offer and how to book your place.
