PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT NO.2 ORDER 2024

The above-named Orders, both made on 12 February 2024 under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will stop up and extinguish part of public footpath 260 running from a point 80 metres north east of the junction of Keresforth Close and Broadway (grid reference 3328/0559) and proceeds generally north east along the footway of Keresforth Close then south east across the former playing field then south westerly to rejoin Broadway (grid reference 3341/0537), a total distance of 415 metres, as shown on the Order maps.

Copies of the Orders and the order maps are available for viewing at the Library at the Lightbox, Barnsley during normal business hours. Copies can be purchased for a small charge.

Any representations about or objections to either Order may be sent in writing by post to the Service Director Legal and Governance, Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, PO Box 600 Barnsley S70 9EZ or by email to
publicrightsofway@barnsley.gov.uk (quoting reference LEGAL/CR) not later than 15 March 2024. The grounds on which they are made should be stated.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Orders as unopposed Orders. If the Orders are sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with them.
