METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL THE MARRIAGE (APPROVED PREMISES) REGULATIONS 1995 AND CIVIL PARTNERSHIPS ACT 2004 NOTICE OF INTENDED APPLICATION FOR AN APPROVAL UNDER THE REGULATIONS

 I, Jennie Steel of Cannon Hall Museum, Bark House Lane, Cawthorne, Barnsley, S75 4AT hereby give notice that I, Jennie Steel on 20/01/2026 applied to the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council for the renewal an approval to use the following premises: The Ballroom, The Library, The Deer Shelter and the Walled Gardens for civil marriages and civil partnerships conducted by a Superintendent Registrar and a Registrar subject to the availability of registration service staff.

Any person wishing to object to the intended application may do so by letter stating in full the grounds on which the objection is based, addressed to the Assistant Chief Executive, Neighbourhoods Access and Support, Barnsley Metropolitan Council, PO Box 679, S70 9JE. Any such letter must arrive by 10 February 2026. The application and the plan of the premises which identifies the room or rooms in which marriages and civil partnerships may, if approved, be solemnised may be inspected by contacting Legal Services on 01226 773086, until such time as the application has been determined by the local authority/or the applications has been withdrawn.
