Notice is hereby given that application has been made by Academy of Friends CIC to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council for a new premises licence in respect of Friends Kids Festival, Grange Lane Events Area, Grange Lane, Cundy Cross, Barnsley on the following terms:

  • Provision of plays, outdoors: Saturday and Sunday from 1:15pm until 1:45pm.
  • Provision of live music, outdoors: Saturday and Sunday from 2:20pm until 6pm.
  • Provision of recorded music, outdoors: Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am until 7pm.
  • Performances of dance, outdoors: Saturday and Sunday from 1pm until 3pm.
  • Supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises: Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am until 6:30pm.
  • Application to cover 30 and 31 May 2026 only. Hours of opening are from 10:30am until 7pm.

Any person wishing to make representations about the proposals outlined above can do so in writing to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, PO Box 634, Barnsley, S70 9GG or licensing@barnsley.gov.uk by midnight of 6 March 2026

Notes:      

  1. It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person guilty of this offence is liable on summary of conviction to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale.
