Temporary 40mph speed restriction

Details

An order will be made to introduce a temporary 40mph speed limit on the below roads. The restrictions will be implemented on a phased basis as required from 28 June 2025 for approximately 3 months.

• Cawthorne Road, Barugh Green between number 42 Cawthorne Road and Lane Head Road
• Lane Head Road, Cawthorne between Cawthorne Road and South Lane
• Manchester Road, Dodworth between Fall Bank Crescent and Barnsley Road
• Barnsley Road (A628), Silkstone between Manchester Road and Silkstone Bypass
• Silkstone Bypass, Silkstone between Barnsley Road and a point 90 metres north east of the junction with High Street
• Barnsley Road (A628), Hoylandswaine between Cooper Lane and Hoylandswaine Roundabout
• Huddersfield Road, Penistone between no. 120 Huddersfield Road and Wellhouse Lane
• Ben Bank Road, Silkstone Common between Dodworth Green Road and a point 280 metres east of Hall Royd Lane
