TRAFFIC REGULATION CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2019 (AMENDMENT NO. 15) ORDER 2026Details
The Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-
1. The Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley (Barnsley) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2019 shall have effect as though:-
(i) In Schedule 1 of the Order (Prohibition of Waiting at Any Time) there were included the following:-

Barnsley
North east side – from its junction with the south eastern kerb line of Pontefract Road in a south easterly then north easterly direction for a distance of 68 metres
North west side – from a point 164 metres south east of its junction with the south eastern kerb line of Pontefract Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 38 metres
South west side – from its junction with the south eastern kerb line of Pontefract Road in a south eastern direction for a distance of 20 metres
South east side –
(i) from a point 124 metres south east of its junction with the south eastern kerb line of Pontefract Road in a south easterly then north easterly direction for a distance of 52 metres
(ii) from a point 246 metres south east of its junction with the south eastern kerb line of Pontefract Road in a north easterly direction to the highway termination (including the turning head)
(ii) In Schedule 1 of the Order (Prohibition of Waiting at Any Time) the following items are to be deleted and hereby revoked:-

Both sides – from its junction with the projected south eastern kerb line of Pontefract Road in a
south easterly direction for a distance of 20 metres
2. This order shall come into operation on the 20 April 2026 and may be cited as "The Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley (Barnsley) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2019 (Amendment No.15) Order 2026".
