Notice is hereby given that application has been made by Kirsty Hart to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council for a minor variation to a premises licence in respect of Station Tap, 2-4 Station Road, Thurnscoe, Rotherham S63 0JR to add conditions to the licence:
- The premises shall install and maintain a comprehensive CCTV system. All public areas, entry and exit points will be covered enabling frontal identification of every person entering in any light condition. The CCTV system shall continually record whilst the premises are open for licensable activities and during all times when customers remain on the premises. All recordings shall be stored for a minimum period of 31 days with date and time stamping. Viewing of recordings shall be made available immediately upon the request of police or authorised council officer through the entire 31 day period.
- A time limit should be placed upon the production of CCTV on request, eg as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event with 24 hours.
- A staff member from the premises who is conversant with the operation of the CCTV system shall be on the premises at all times when the premises are open. This staff member must be able to provide a police or authorised council officer copies of recent CCTV images or data with the absolute minimum of delay when requested.
- The premises shall conduct a check of the CCTV system on a weekly basis to ensure it is operating correctly. A written record of the checks will be maintained and will be produced to the police/authorised officers of the council on request.
- Persons under the age of 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult and are not permitted after 10pm.
- An incident log shall be kept at the premises and made available on request to an authorised officer of the police, which will record the following:
- All crimes reported to the venue
- All ejections of patrons
- Any complaints received concerning crime and disorder
- Any seizures of drugs or offensive weapons
- Any faults in the CCTV system
- Any refusal of the sale of alcohol
- Any visit by a relevant authority or emergency service
- A record shall be kept detailing all refused sales of alcohol. The record should include the date and time of the refused sale and the name of the member of staff who reused the sale. The record shall be made available for inspection at the premises by the police and Trading Standards at all times whilst the premises are open.
- Training shall be provided to all staff on commencement of employment relating to underage sales prevention, age verification, drugs awareness and any age-restricted products sold and any system or procedures they are expected to follow in the course of dealing with these goods. Refresher training shall be provided at regular intervals – at least every 6 months. All records detailing the training provided must be written and kept on the premises for a minimum of 12 months and for production upon request of a police officer or other authorised person.
