True North Bar, Barnsley Market - application to vary a premises licence

Notice is hereby given that application has been made by True North Brew Co to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council to vary a premises licence in respect of True North Bar, Barnsley Market First Floor, The Glass Works, Barnsley, S70 1GW on the following terms:

  • Remove condition on licence requiring plastic drinking glasses to be used on outdoor terrace and replace it with 'Plastic glasses to be used on outdoor terrace on days Barnsley FC are playing at home. To come into effect 1 hour before kick-off and remain in place for the rest of the day. Bank holidays and other major events to be risk assessed.'

Any person wishing to make representations about the proposals outlined above can do so in writing to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, PO Box 634, Barnsley, S70 9GG or licensing@barnsley.gov.uk by midnight of 13 July 2026.

  1. It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person guilty of this offence is liable on summary of conviction to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale.
