An order will be made to introduce the below restrictions:
- Grange Crescent, Cundy Cross - closed from the junction with Grange Lane for a distance of 20 metres. Managed access maintained for residents.
- Grange Lane, Cundy Cross - one way closure allowing traffic to travel from Cundy Cross (Rotherham Road) towards Stairfoot only. Restrictions in place evenings only from Sunday to Thursday. An alternative route is available via Stairfoot Roundabout, Doncaster Road, Sheffield Road, Alhambra Roundabout, Harborough Hill Road, Pontefract Road.
- Meadow View, Lundwood - closure of Meadow View from the junction with Rotherham Road for a distance of 50 metres. An alternative route is available via Rotherham Road/Pontefract Road
- Pontefract Road, Cundy Cross - one-way restriction on Pontefract Road between Grange Lane and Littleworth Lane, allowing traffic to travel from Littleworth Lane towards Grange Lane only (towards Barnsley town centre). An alternative route is available via Grange Lane, Meadow View, Littleworth Lane.
- Pontefract Road, Lundwood - one-way restriction on Pontefract Road between Grange Lane and Tuxford Crescent, allowing traffic to travel from Tuxford Crescent towards Grange Lane only (towards Cundy Cross from Barnsley town centre). An alternative route is available via Harborough Hill Road, Alhambra Roundabout, Sheffield Road, Doncaster Road, Stairfoot Roundabout, Grange Lane.
- Rotherham Road, Cundy Cross - temporary left turn restriction preventing traffic travelling in a southeasterly direction (towards Cundy Cross) from turning from Rotherham Road onto Meadow View. An alternative route is available via Pontefract Road, Littleworth Lane.
Restrictions will be in place intermittently and as required, from 3 August 2025 for approximately six months. Not all restrictions will be implemented at the same time.
