Changes to household bin collection days

Over the festive period there will be some changes to the usual household bin collection days, so your bin may be emptied on a later date instead.

Please make sure you put your bin out at the kerb side before 6am on your amended collection day.

Missed household bin collections

If there's been a problem and we've missed the bins on your street, please check our list of known disruptions and what you should do.

Changes to business waste collection days

If you use our business waste collection service, your commercial waste bins may be emptied on an earlier or later date than usual over the festive period.

Collection times may vary, so please make sure your business waste bin is ready to be emptied from 6am.

Garden waste (green bin) collections

There are no collections of green bins during December, January and February. You can leave your garden waste in your green bin or take it to one of our household waste recycling centres.

Your Christmas recycling

Please recycle as much of your household Christmas waste as you can by using your recycling bins and visiting our recycling centres. Find out what you can put in each bin and how to reduce, reuse and recycle your Christmas waste.

Our household waste recycling centres are open every day over the Christmas period except Christmas Day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December) and New Year's Day (1 January).
