Social communication and interaction consultation surgeries

We run consultation surgeries in locations across the borough every half term. All settings working with children from 0-18 years old can attend a surgery, including teachers, teaching assistants, key workers and SENCOs. You can also bring parents or carers with you.

You can come and talk to us if:

  • you're thinking of referring a pupil to the SCI team but want to discuss their needs first
  • you need help setting SCI-based targets on a SEN support plan
  • you'd like to talk about SCI difficulties and gain practical advice
  • you'd like to discuss a pupil with SCI needs or ASD

You can book a 45-minute slot at one of the sessions below to discuss a pupil. When attending you'll need to bring with you a completed consent slip from their parent or carer - without it we won't be able to discuss an individual. We'll send you the consent slip when we confirm your booking.

We run drop-in consultations every half term that SENDCo and Early Years practitioners from all settings can attend. You can bring parents or carers along with you if you'd like as well.

Come and talk to us if:

  • you'd like to discuss any SEND queries around individual children, or SEND provision
  • you need help setting outcomes, or support to write and develop SEN support plans
  • you're thinking of referring a pupil to us

If you want to discuss an individual child you'll need to bring a completed consent slip from their parent or carer with you; we won't be able to discuss individuals without this.

You don't need to book a place to attend any of the sessions below - just drop in, but please be prepared to wait if necessary.
