Families Information Service
Our Families Information Service provides free and confidential advice for the whole family on a range of topics, including:
- finding childcare
- funded childcare places
- how to get help with childcare costs
- how to access early help and family hubs
- fun activities and things to do

Support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
Our Families Information Service has a dedicated officer for disabled children and young people. They provide advice to families of children and young people aged 0 to 25 with SEND or a complex health need.
They can provide details about:
- the local offer for children with SEND
- local and national services, including support groups
- how to access funded childcare places for two year olds in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- how to access health, social care and education services for your child
- the Disabled Children's Register
- short breaks for children with disabilities, including help to apply for a short break and how to find a provider
