Here are some websites that provide support and advice for our armed forces community.

Civvy Street Provides a range of information and resources for people leaving the armed forces, including employment grants, education and training, support for families, finding a job and starting a business. 
Gov.uk Support services for veterans and their families.  
Lifeworks A Royal British Legion scheme to help former armed forces personnel develop the skills they need to get a job.
Live Well Barnsley Barnsley Council Directory providing information about health, wellbeing, care and support services.  You can search using the keyword 'armed forces' to find local services and national organisations that work to support the armed forces community.
MOD Army Provides a range of welfare support to families while soldiers are away. This support is provided to regular army families and to those of mobilised members of the Territorial Army or the Regular Reserve. 
Royal Air Force Families Federation The RAF Families Federation provides all RAF personnel and their families – Regular and Reserve, single or married – with timely and professional support, assistance and an independent voice regarding issues or concerns that they may have.
Royal British Legion

The Legion provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces community - supports serving, ex-service personnel, dependants and spouses in a number of different ways.  You can contact your local area office through the call centre on 0808 8028080.  The Legion has a number of specialist teams that you can work with if you need help with:

Royal Navy Community Provides service personnel and their families with information and advice, ranging from relationships to relocations and from education to professional welfare support.
Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association Whatever challenges they’re facing, members of the Armed Forces community can rely on SSAFA. Our network of more than 5,800 trained volunteers provides practical and emotional support for serving personnel, veterans and military families across the UK and worldwide.
Veterans Gateway The 'first stop' for veterans looking for advice, support and information. There is also a 24hr helpline: 0808 802 1212.
Regular Forces Employment Association

The Calvert Trust has received funding from the MOD Armed Forces Covenant (LIBOR) Fund to run outdoor activity breaks for any Armed Forces family that includes a person with a disability. The holidays are open to serving, reserve and veteran families, and are all-inclusive of food, accommodation and activities.  For more information you can call 01768 772255.
