About Healthy Holidays clubs
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme aims to make free holiday club places available to all children aged five to 16 who receive benefit-related free school meals.
We aim to make sure we have clubs which can offer a range of physical and enriching activities. These should be able to suit any child aged between four and 16, and of any ability. All clubs must also include at least one nutritious meal per session. The food must meet School Food Standards.
We want to make sure we reach as many people who are eligible for means-tested free school meals as we can. This includes those who might not have taken up the offer before.
If you're interested in being a club provider and would like to apply for grant funding, you need to register on YORtender. Access is free of charge and there's a helpdesk in the portal for help and support if needed.
You can read the YORtender registration guide and supplier step-by-step guide to getting set up on the portal. These contain useful details and a video to guide you through the system.
If you have any issues registering please contact uksupport@eu-supply.com. You can also call them on 0800 840 2050 during office hours.
Once you've registered, please let us know us by emailing hafapplications@barnsley.gov.uk
Library sessions for club providers
If you run a Healthy Holidays club, our libraries can deliver a one hour session to children at your club. The session could be something crafty, science, technology, or something fun.
If you'd like to book a session please contact us by emailing: barnsleylibraryenquiries@barnsley.gov.uk. We'll then get in touch to book you in. We have limited spaces, so don’t miss out. Bookings must be made at least five working days in advance.
