Notice of application for a new premises licence

Notice is hereby given that an application has been made by Imran Ahmed to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council for a new premises licence in respect of Alam's Lounge, 3 Hermit Lane, Higham, Barnsley, S75 1PL on the following terms:

  • Provision of late-night refreshment for consumption both on and off the premises:
    • Friday and Saturday from 11pm until 12am
  • Supply of alcohol for consumption both on and off the premises:
    • Sunday to Thursday from 12pm until 11:30pm
    • Friday and Saturday from 12pm until 12:30am (the following morning)
  • Opening times:
    • Sunday to Thursday from 12pm until 12am
    • Friday and Saturday from 12pm until 1am (the following morning)

Any person wishing to make representations about the proposals outlined above can do so in writing to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, PO Box 634, Barnsley, S70 9GG or licensing@barnsley.gov.uk by midnight 17 June 2025.

Notes:

  • Its an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person guilty of this offence is liable on summary of conviction to a fine not exceeding level five on the standard scale.
