Rose Box, Church Street, Darton application for a new premises licence
Notice of application for a new premises licence
Notice is hereby given that an application has been made by Ellie Rose Cook to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council for a new premises licence in respect of Rose Box, Church Street, Darton, Barnsley, S75 5HQ on the following terms:
- provision of recorded music, indoors: Monday to Wednesday from 12pm to 9pm, Thursday from 12pm to 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 12pm to 11pm and Sunday from 12pm to 7pm
- non-standard timings: Bank Holiday Sundays and Boxing Day until 10pm, and New Year’s Eve until 12:30am (the following morning).
- supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises: Monday to Wednesday from 12:30pm to 8:30pm, Thursday from 12:30pm to 9:30pm, Friday and Saturday from 12:30pm to 10:30pm, Sunday from 12:30pm to 6:30pm
- non-standard timings: Bank Holiday Sundays and Boxing Day to 9:30pm and New Year’s Eve until midnight.
- opening hours to match hours in “recorded music” section above.
Any person wishing to make representations about the proposals outlined above can do so in writing to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, PO Box 634, Barnsley, S70 9GG or licensing@barnsley.gov.uk by midnight of 25 August 2025.

- It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person guilty of this offence is liable on summary of conviction to a fine not exceeding level five on the standard scale.
