Adult social care performance
We’re committed to delivering high quality adult social care services to people living in the borough.
To help us monitor the quality of our services and whether they meet the needs of residents, we produce an annual report. This sets out our plans for adult social care and provides details about how well we're performing against those plans with the resources we have available.
The annual report is called our Adult Social Care Local Account. Publishing it makes us directly accountable to those who use our services, allowing you to determine for yourselves how well we’re doing.

Quality inspections
The government also monitors local social care services through the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This is an independent body established by government to promote improvements in health and social care, and to identify bad practice.
The CQC carry out inspections of services to check whether hospitals, care homes, GPs, dentists and services in your home are meeting national standards. They report their inspection findings annually in a report to parliament.
