Barnsley Safer Roads Partnership

The Barnsley Safer Roads Partnership focuses on enhancing road safety across Barnsley. It brings together key stakeholders and groups with the aims of reducing road accidents, protecting vulnerable road users, promoting safer road use, and fostering a culture of safe driving in the Barnsley area.

In 2022, eight people were killed on Barnsley’s roads and a further 131 were severely injured. Every death or serious injury on our roads is one too many, and our ambition is to reduce the number of people killed and seriously injured by at least 50% by 2030. Our long-term goal is zero people killed or seriously injured by 2050.
