Golf facilities in Barnsley
There are two golf facilities in Barnsley: Hillies Pavilion and Barnsley municipal golf course - The Limes. You don't have to be a member to book a round of golf.
- Hillies Pavilion par 32 course in Wombwell is managed by Barnsley Premier Leisure. To book a round of golf, call (01226) 754433. Accessibility information is available on the AccessAble website.
- The Limes par 69 course is situated on the A61 between Barnsley and Wakefield. It offers even the most competitive of golfers a challenge over its 5,951 yards course.

The course is open to all. You can play on a casual pay and play basis, or as a member. To book a round of golf, call our Pro Shop on 01226 380358.
The Limes opening times
Opening times vary due to daylight hours, but generally, we're open from 7am until dusk, 363 days a year (closed Christmas and New Years Day).
Membership (season tickets) at The Limes
At Barnsley golf course, The Limes, you can split the cost of your membership into twelve monthly instalments at no extra cost if you pay by Direct Debit.

Golf society days at The Limes
Barnsley golf course can arrange golf society days, party bookings and corporate packages. They can be arranged and booked up to 12 months in advance by contacting the Resident Golf Professional.
Packages range from just a round of golf to a round plus a meal, or can be bespoke for you.
Groups must consist of twelve people or more.

Competitions at The Limes
Throughout the year, Barnsley golf course organises 31 major trophy competitions for men, 12 for ladies and 12 for juniors. This is in addition to the 12 monthly weekend and 12 midweek medal competitions for each category.
The club's previous achievements include:
- Winners of the York and Humberside A.P.G.C 5 man team knockout competition for the 3rd year running
- Winners of the Leeds and District Union of Golf Clubs League Division 3
- Winners of the Champions of Champions Trophy (The Romaine Trophy)
