About Together at the Town Hall
Together at the Town Hall is a community event where everyone is invited to come together and enjoy a variety of activities, services, and resources.
Starting on Monday 16 February 2026, each day brings a new theme, so there’s always something different to explore - whether you’re interested in workshops, local support, family activities, or meeting new people. With something for all ages and interests, this is an opportunity to connect, learn, and be part of what makes Barnsley special.
What to expect
Monday - family day
Start the week with family fun! Enjoy story and rhyme sessions, creative crafts, and gaming activities for kids. Adults can explore financial advice and community stalls, while everyone enjoys lively performances. A day focused on togetherness and creativity.
Tuesday - Live Well day
Promoting health and wellbeing for all. Adults can access cancer awareness sessions, breast screening info, and financial guidance, plus support from Age UK and wellbeing services. Children will discover healthy habits through interactive, fun activities.
Wednesday - Celebrating our borough
Celebrate Barnsley’s people and places with arts and crafts, museum-led activities, and pop-up flu clinics. Adults can learn about healthy eating and explore job opportunities at recruitment stalls. A mix of creativity, wellbeing, and career advice.
Thursday - A look back in time
Step into Barnsley’s history with remembrance workshops and stories from the past. Veterans’ support and armed forces recruitment stalls will be available for adults. A day of heritage, learning, and meaningful resources for all ages.
Friday - The future of Barnsley
Look ahead to what’s next for the borough. Young people can connect with the Youth Council, while adults join consultations, explore investment opportunities, and learn about Health on the High Street. A day for inspiration and shaping the future.
Saturday - Community carnival
End the week with a vibrant celebration! Enjoy music, performances, and competitions like ‘win a bike’ and scavenger hunts for kids. Adults can sample local flavours, meet community groups, and soak up the carnival atmosphere. A lively finale for all.
