Notice of vacancy in office of councillor

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a casual vacancy exists in the office of councillor for the Penistone east ward of the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council.

An election to fill the vacancy will be held within 35 days (computed in accordance with Section 243 of the Local Government Act 1972 as amended by the Representation of the People Act 1985) after notice in writing has been given to the undersigned by two local government electors for the area.
