Fixed fee service
Our fixed fee service is an all-inclusive advisory service (as per specification). It includes onsite case work support from a HR business partner. This service is for schools and academies that have a range of HR matters. It gives peace of mind that all HR issues are covered.
We can offer health and wellbeing services locally by a team of occupational health staff. With a wealth of knowledge, this team understand the school workforce.
We work with our internal partners who also provide a wide range of other services to schools/academies. We can liaise with them on your behalf if needed to streamline the provision you receive. This could be for pension services, recruitment, DBS checks, health and safety, and more.

- Recruitment and selection. This is through access to the Barnsley Council online jobs system.
- Advice on employment law.

- Support with managing staff absence.
- Support with school/academy re-structures. This may include where there is a reduction in staffing numbers.

Consultancy service
Our consultancy service is for schools and academies that already have HR support in place, but are looking for a service to complement this.
A number of hours can be bought on an annual basis. These can be used as and when required, on all aspects within the service specification. All HR work will be deducted from the agreed pot of hours. The excludes occupational health and external recruitment adverts. Both of these services are charged separately.
The number of hours bought for the year is on a sliding scale. The cost depends on how many hours are bought. These can be discussed on request.
Our consultancy service support covers a full range of HR matters including:

- employee relations
- policies and procedures
- restructures
- briefings

Ad hoc service
As well as our all-inclusive and consultancy options, we can also provide ad hoc support upon request.
A range of HR functions are available to buy on an as-and-when basis. These include:
