Ofsted and Care Quality Commission local area SEND inspection survey 2026

Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) are visiting the Barnsley area as part of an inspection. They'll be looking at the arrangements for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), and would like to hear your views about the support your child receives.

You can provide your views by completing an online survey. There are different surveys for:

children and young people aged 11 to 25
parents and carers of children and young people aged 0 to 25 (survey also available in easy read format)
professionals who work in our area.

Your views are important and will help the inspectors understand your child’s experience of the SEND arrangements in Barnsley.

The online surveys close at 9am on Tuesday 27 January 2026.

If you’re unable to complete the online survey, you can collect a paper copy from any of our Family Hub sites or from the Family Hub Information Site at Barnsley Market.
