Could you be a carer for a Barnsley child and give them a loving and stable home?   

We want Barnsley to be the place of possibilities for everyone - enabling them to be the best they can be. 

We’re looking for more carers for teenagers, siblings and long-term placements, and our foster carers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and circumstances.  

We offer ongoing support, training, financial assistance and development opportunities. 

Our friendly Fostering team will be at several events over the summer, to give people who might be considering becoming a carer all the information they need.

They will be at: 

• South Yorkshire Festival, Wortley Hall, S35 7DB, Sunday 6 August.
• Joining Forces event, Barnsley town centre, Thursday 10 August.
• Fostering information drop-in, Library @ The Lightbox, Thursday 17 August, 12 noon to 2pm.
