Silkstone children make up national choir for Children in Need

​Children from Silkstone Common Junior and Infant School will be making their television debut this Friday after being chosen to represent Yorkshire for the BBC's Children in Need Choir. 

Six of the school's children were chosen to sing this year's song, which will be revealed to the nation on Friday, and were recorded performing it on location at Wentworth Woodhouse. 

The film will be then sent to the main producers of Children in Need and parts of it will be selected to be added to another seven choirs from around the UK. 

The final piece will be shown on Children in Need show this Friday and will be part of the wider evening of events, which broadcasts from 7pm. 

In the run up to the big day, the school has made an appearance on BBC Radio Sheffield Breakfast show which you can listen to at :https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0gp60sf (1hr35min in) and will also will be shown on BBC Look North on Friday.
