An order has will be made to close the below streets:

• Bridge Street, Penistone between Barnsley Road and St Mary’s Street.
• St Mary’s Street, Penistone between Bridge Street and Market Street.
• Market Street, Penistone between Bridge Street and Shrewsbury Road.

Roads will be closed on a phased basis from 10 September 2023 for approximately two weeks. Closures will be in place overnight only between 7pm and 5am (except Sundays between 6pm and 5am). Closures may not be on consecutive nights. The full extents listed will not all be closed at the same time.

Reason

Carriageway resurfacing.

An alternative route for vehicles over four metres in height is available via Thurlstone Road/Manchester Road/Hartcliff Road/Hartcliff Hill Road/Mossley Road/Mortimer Road/High Street.
