PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026Details
The above-named order, made on 12 January 2026 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert part of public footpaths numbers 48, 50, 96 and 97 Penistone at Royd Field Farm, as shown on the order map.
Copies of the order and map may be seen free of charge at the Library at the Lightbox, 1 The Glassworks, Barnsley and at the Penistone Branch Library, which is temporarily located in Penistone Town Hall, Shrewsbury Road, Penistone, Barnsley during normal business hours.
Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent or delivered in writing either by email to publicrightsofway@barnsley.gov.uk or by post addressed to Law & Governance, PO Box 634 Barnsley S70 9GG not later than 13 February 2026 quoting reference PCD/JS/2419. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will also be sent.
