More Money in Your Pocket

Many people are having difficulties due to the current cost of living. You might not realise you're entitled to some help. You can find out about the range of local help that's available, as well as national support, on this website.

In response to the cost of living, the government has also launched a campaign to let everyone know what national support is available. This is called Help for Households.

Pension Credit

Pension Credit gives you extra money to help with your living costs if you're over State Pension age and on a low income. It can also give you access to a range of other benefits. This can include helping with housing costs, Council Tax, heating bills, and for those aged 75 or over - a free TV licence.

Although take up of Pension Credit is at the highest level since 2010, many people are missing out.

You can check if you're eligible and claim on GOV.UK.
