Physiotherapy
Pure Physiotherapy occupational health physiotherapists can work with you to help maintain good health in the workplace, and can help timely recovery, return or maintenance of work. Support can include from:
treating musculoskeletal disorders
assessing specific things in the workplace with workplace assessment
support return to work or adjustments to duties helping both the employer and patient
Workstation/display screen equipment (DSE) assessments
Working with equipment like monitors, laptops and smartphones comes with risks. From eye strain and back pain to repetitive strain injury, office workers can suffer from both short and long-term work-related issues, causing them to take more sick days.
DSE assessments will be provided by Activ Physiotherapy and will take between 30 and 60 minutes. They will be carried out remotely using your phones camera and will look at:
the whole workstation, including the equipment, furniture and working conditions
the job being done
any unique requirements due to injury or disability
With expert advice and practical suggestions, a workstation assessment will lead to greater awareness of ergonomic best practices and beneficial changes to workplace set-ups.
Free mental health support
Green Tree Therapy provide one-to-one solution focused brief therapy (SFBT) sessions for employees referred into the programme who are at risk of leaving work due to health or wellbeing challenges.
SFBT is a future-focused, evidence-based approach. Rather than analysing problems in detail, it helps people identify what’s already working and build on their strengths and resources. SFBT is proven to be effective for people experiencing issues including anxiety, depression, stress, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and trauma.
The 60-minute sessions will be delivered via phone or video call, and employees can access up to five sessions. You can expect to see:
improved staff retention and reduced sickness absence
lower recruitment and training costs
healthier, more motivated workforce
