Our charges for dedicated education welfare officer time are based on an hourly rate and the number of weeks you need, either in term time or across the whole year.
We review our costs annually and they are expected to increase from £26 to £27 an hour for 2016/17, which is still favourable compared to the cost of education welfare services in other local councils.
When you buy our services, we will draw up a service level agreement (SLA) at the beginning of the financial year.
For schools and academies that decide not to buy through an SLA, there is the option to buy education welfare officer time on an as required basis. This will be charged by the hour.

Make a saving
If you buy a minimum of half a day each week of dedicated education welfare officer time, your school will receive free Section 175/157 safeguarding training.
This represents a saving of £400 for primary and £500 for secondary schools.
