Secondary school students across Barnsley recently took part in the powerful ‘Working for Marcus’ safeguarding programme, delivered by Loudmouth Education and Training through an engaging assembly-style session as part of the Great Childhoods Ambition.

Using drama and discussion, the session explored important topics including grooming, child exploitation, county lines and online safety, helping students recognise risks and understand where to seek support.

The programme encourages young people to spot warning signs, build confidence in asking for help, and develop the knowledge they need to stay safe.

By bringing real-life scenarios to life in an accessible and engaging way, this programme plays an important role in helping Barnsley’s young people stay informed, supported and safe.
