Following our fun packed programme of summer Healthy Holiday clubs, we're delighted to announce the launch of our winter Healthy Holidays programme. We're looking forward to welcoming children back for festive activities, good food and holiday fun. We're thrilled to also have teamed up with Barnsley Children's University, with some of the clubs now proudly part of the Children's University adventure.

On offer this winter:

• 22 December 2025 - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs pantomime at The Lamproom Theatre
• 23 December 2025 - Healthy Holidays Celebration Event at the Metrodome
• 24 December 2025 - Community Christmas parties at various locations across Barnsley
• 2 January 2026 - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs pantomime at The Lamproom Theatre

Children who receive benefit-related (means-tested) free school meals are entitled to a free place at the pantomime, community parties and celebration event.

If you're eligible, signing up for free school meals even if your child doesn't have the meal and takes a packed lunch instead, brings lots of other benefits to you and your child's school, including access to the Healthy Holidays programme. You should still register for free school meals even if your child is in reception, year 1 or year 2 and receives them automatically.

Booking places for the clubs and celebration event

You can book a place at the clubs from Friday 14 November 2025. Bookings for the celebration event open on Monday 1 December 2025.
