About the role

The Head of Strategic Housing will lead and manage our strategic housing functions, ensuring successful delivery in line with our corporate priorities.

You'll manage a portfolio of significant housing development and housing regeneration 
projects covering all housing tenures, and oversee improvements in the borough's private rented 
housing sector.

In this role you'll also be the council's client lead for the housing management contract with Berneslai Homes, overseeing of 17,000 homes in Barnsley.

Working with colleagues in other council service areas, you'll deliver a place-based approach to wider regeneration, delivering housing and sustainability related objectives.
