We have a range of volunteering opportunities across the borough where you can volunteer your time to support your local library.
We'll support you during your time with us and help you to settle in to your role. Volunteering will help you gain confidence, meet new people, boost your CV and learn new skills. You'll feel part of our team in libraries, helping others to get the most from their lives.
You can join us to work in a variety of different roles. Some opportunities work best if you can offer a regular weekly commitment. Others are available as a one-off or short term placement.
Volunteers help us to run additional activities in libraries ranging from our Conversation Club, Code Club, Readers Groups, Lego Club and craft sessions for children and adults. We are also looking for people who will work in the community as library champions.
All current vacancies are listed on the Do-It.org website where you can find out more about the roles we have on offer.
Please contact us if you are interested in finding out more about volunteering. You can contact us online or by phone or talk with library staff.
