Planning permission and site licences are needed for all caravan sites in Barnsley.
The person living on the proposed site should contact our planning department. They'll be able to find out if the site would be allowed.
They'll need to submit a planning application.
Along with planning permission, a caravan site licence will be issued. It will consider the following:
- permitted numbers
- spacing between caravans
- type of caravans
- water supply and drainage
- lavatory and drainage facilities
- fire precautions
- electrical installations
