About us

Healthier Futures has been made by the children's Public Health team in Barnsley. It's an information hub for those working with children and young people in the borough. It will help the next generation to:

enjoy a life of good physical and mental health
thrive in their education and achieve their full potential
feel connected and supported by their peers and mentors
gain key life skills and experiences to support them in the future

Healthier Futures Barnsley accreditation

The accreditation will help you to use a holistic whole setting approach to children’s health and wellbeing. You'll use an online platform to upload your evidence to support your accreditation.

Healthier Futures - Let's hear you voice

Let's Hear Your Voice survey

The survey covers health and wellbeing topics for children in years 4, 6, 8 and 10. The data will support schools to identify need, offer a tailored approach to PSHE and RSHE, and inform the commissioning of children’s services.
