Our Adult Skills and Community Learning service offers a care training programme, designed to help you take your first steps into a rewarding career in care. If you're looking for a new challenge, enjoy helping others, and want to learn more about working in care, this could be the perfect starting point for you.

Support to work in care if you're under 30
The King’s Trust helps young people under 30 to start work in health and social care. There's more opportunities than you might expect, including administration, healthcare, IT, cleaning, catering, facilities management, care work and much more.
We can help you find a role that suits you to start your career in care. We can support you with:
- job searching and applying for roles
- preparing for an interview
- access financial help for employment
- development of your skills with relevant training and learning
- a committed mentor to help throughout the process
If you've recently started a role in the NHS or with a care provider, we can support you in the first three months with:
- a dedicated mentor to help with your progress
- access to financial assistance for employment
- opportunities to develop your skills
- resilience techniques and stress management
- signposting support
