Barnsley Apprenticeship LIVE returns for 2025
We are pleased to share that Barnsley Apprenticeship LIVE will be back in 2025 after a successful event in 2024.
We’ll be welcoming local employers and training providers from a range of sectors to Barnsley Metrodome on Tuesday 17 June 2025 to share apprenticeship opportunities, CV and application advice, and guidance about careers in their industries.
Visitors will also learn more about different entry requirements and application processes, and get advice on how to use the National Apprenticeship Service to find vacancies.
This event seeks to support 14 to 24-year-olds to gain the valuable skills, work experience and qualifications needed to help kickstart their careers when they finish school as part of delivering our inclusive growth strategy.
Councillor Robin Franklin, Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture, said: “I’m really proud of this initiative, which sees local employers and training providers offer some fantastic apprenticeship opportunities to young people in Barnsley. It’s this kind of event that helps the younger members of the community find opportunities to gain valuable skills and work experience that can lead to successful long-term employment. It also connects employers to our extraordinarily talented school leavers in the area who could be future assets to their workforce.
I encourage anyone who is considering an apprenticeship to attend this event and learn more about the exciting roles on offer.”
