Barnsley Premier Leisure Announced as Main Sponsor of Barnsley 10k

We're delighted to announce that Barnsley Premier Leisure have agreed to be the official charitable partner of the Barnsley 10k. 

The iconic event will bring together 2000 runners of all levels to celebrate health, fitness, and community spirit in the heart of Barnsley on Sunday 29 June.

The support from BPL, a leading provider of leisure and fitness services, promises to elevate the event to new heights, offering opportunities for greater engagement and participation across the community.

Barnsley Premier Leisure (BPL) are a not-for-profit social enterprise and charitable organisation that has been serving local communities since July 1999.

Dedicated to providing affordable and high-quality health, sport, and leisure facilities, BPL operates an extensive range of venues under their Your Space brand across Barnsley, Bassetlaw, Mansfield, and Pontefract.

Councillor James Higgingbottom, Cabinet Member for Environment and Highways said: “It’s fantastic to see Barnsley Premier Leisure stepping forward to sponsor this year’s Barnsley 10k.

Entries are now closed for this year’s race, however there are still opportunities to volunteer on the day.
