Beat the Street is co-ordinated by the Sport and Physical Activity Team at Barnsley Council as part of our ongoing work to encourage children and adults in our borough to move more. Beat the Street is hosted by Intelligent Health and funded by the Council, South Yorkshire Combined Mayoral Authority and The National Lottery through Sport England.
Cllr James Higginbottom, Cabinet Spokesperson for Environment and Highways, said: “It’s been great to see so many Barnsley residents take part in Beat the Street across our borough once again.
“I’d like to say a huge congratulations to all our winners and to everyone who has taken part in this fantastic initiative.
“The winners will receive their certificates over the coming weeks, and players will receive a survey to measure the impact of the game.”
Our Sport and Physical Activity Team will continue to work with stakeholders to get more people in Barnsley physically active.
