International Market Returns to The Glass Works

This month, Barnsley town centre will host its second International Market of the year.

Visit The Glass Works Square from Thursday 4 to Sunday 7 September, to experience a rich variety of stalls showcasing authentic flavours from Italy, Germany, Spain, Greece, and many other countries.

Alongside the food, visitors will discover unique crafts and bespoke seasonal items.

Councillor Robin Franklin, Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture at Barnsley Council, said: “It is fantastic to bring the International Market back to The Glass Works again this year.

“The event is very popular with our residents as well as visitors from across the region and is one of the many exciting events we are delighted to have delivered in Barnsley this year, with even more to come!

“We have an amazing offer within our town centre and want to extend a warm Barnsley welcome to all.

“We want everyone to experience the delicious flavours of the International Market, as well as exploring the wider food, drink and leisure offering including Barnsley Market, The Victorian Arcade and more whilst they are here."

This four-day event is a fantastic opportunity for families, food lovers, and curious shoppers to explore the world without leaving Barnsley.

Whether you're sampling exotic delicacies, picking up a one-of-a-kind gift, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, the International Market promises something for everyone.
