Join us for the last Joining Forces Event of the year

After the huge success of previous editions, and to start our Halloween activities, we’re bringing you the last Joining Forces Event of the year, showcasing a range of emergency services that work together across the borough to keep us safe.

The free event will take place on Thursday 26 October from 10am to 4pm at The Glass Works Square and everyone is welcome to join in.

The event will bring together a variety of emergency services and other participants, including the British Army, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, Yorkshire Rose Coaches and Town Centre Wardens.

You will get a chance to take a seat in blue-light vehicles, explore the latest technologies and equipment, meet and talk to the front-line services and much more.

Cllr Wendy Cain, Cabinet Spokesperson for Public Health and Communities, said: “We are looking forward to hosting another Joining Forces Event in the town centre, raising awareness of our emergency and front-line services, and celebrating fantastic work they do across our borough to make sure Barnsley continues to be a safe place for all our residents and visitors.”

The British Army will be in The Glass Works Square on Friday 27 October too.
