Updated Financial Contributions for Educational Provision SPD are now live

The Local Plan (adopted in January 2019) contains policies to be considered when determining planning applications. Supplementary planning documents (SPDs) contain further advice and explain how these policies will be applied.

Updates to the Financial Contributions for Educational Provision Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) were successfully adopted at Full Council last month following two rounds of consultations.

Consultations were held in summer 2023 and again in September and October 2024, with the comments received taken into consideration to help to shape the adopted document.

Cllr Robin Franklin, Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture, said: “I’m pleased to see the SPD live following consultations with the public. 

“The comments received helped to shape our refreshed guidance.” 

The SPDs and other supporting documents can be seen online or as paper copies at Library @ the Lightbox and all branch libraries across the borough during normal opening hours.
